The Blendtec Chef Blender was the last project I worked on at Enlisted before leaving to start my own studio. I led the design alongside Dayne Tanner, and it’s one of my favorite projects to date.
This was a full-stack industrial design effort, from early research through development. One of the key takeaways from research was how important it is for chefs to keep their attention on the food. They need to operate the blender by feel, not sight. That insight shaped the entire experience.
We designed a custom control panel with dial-driven input and tactile feedback. The base of the blender was treated like an art pedestal, intentionally minimal to celebrate the pitcher and the food it holds. Everything about it was purpose-built for the speed, rhythm, and focus of a commercial kitchen.
